Johan Wolvaardt, owner of Sandriver Safaris has been a professional hunter and outfitter for 29 years. He is a member of the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa, Tvl. Game Association, Bosveld Hunters Association and the Messina Game Association.

Johan heads up a team of dedicated and highly qualified professional hunters and trackers and have in his employ one of very few black professional hunters in South Africa. Another unique member of his staff is a genuine bushman tracker. We also use experienced dogs to help track down wounded animals.

Sandriver Safaris has exemption to hunt throughout the year and more than 25 species of game can be hunted on the property. Furthermore we have concessions in other areas and also Zimbabwe for species that do not occur on our property such as Buffalo, Sable, Elephant and some rare plains game species.

Our hunting vehicles are all equipped with radios, which enables the hunting party to be in constant contact with our base camp. This enables us to collect your trophy immediately after a successful shot and hand it over to our highly skilled staff members to take care of the capping of your trophies.

Taxidermy services are also available.

Sandriver Safaris offer rifle, handgun, bow and black powder hunting for both the experienced and novice hunter and also welcomes father and son/daughter and family hunts. Rifle hire is also available.

Quad motorbikes are available for bow hunters for easy access & departure from hides.
