About Us

Sandriver Safaris is situated in the Messina district, which is in the heart of the bushveld of the far Northern Province of South Africa.

Sandriver Safaris offer both the hunting and photographic enthusiasts an experience not to be forgotten.  There are in excess of 25 species of game on our property that covers 25000 acres of pristine African bush. We have three exquisite lodges in close proximity of each other, each with it's own unique African atmosphere.

Malala Lodge

Indigenous trees and brush surround Malala Lodge with a tranquil stream running alongside the camp to give you a feeling of complete relaxation and contentment. The trees form a natural canopy over the lodge area that lends to the African bush feel.  The "lapa" area, which is under thatch, has a bar, mini pool table, satellite television and curio shop. A sparkling swimming pool also complements the camp.

There are seven en-suite rooms, three of which is air-conditioned with a total of 26 single and 3 double beds.

The camp boasts its own resident chef that prepares exquisite traditional cuisine. Included are a wide variety of venison dishes.

Eya Khala Lodge

Situated high up on a ridge overlooking the Sand River, this camp offers you a true sense of complete freedom with excellent game viewing from the comfort of the covered bar area. Sunsets take on a new meaning when seen from Eya Khala lodge. For your comfort and relaxation there is a sparkling swimming pool, satellite television and "lapa".

There are seven en-suite rooms, four of which is air-conditioned with a total of 24 single beds. Six of the rooms have a magnificent view of the Sand River.

This camp also boasts its own resident chef to delight you in traditional cuisine and exquisite venison dishes.

Nduni Lodge

This lodge is the original farmstead that has painstakingly been renovated to recreate the original rustic feel of years gone by. This hunting lodge also offers the same modern conveniences of our other two lodges.
